Our owner, Scott Lubert, was born in Olathe, Kansas.  His passion for the construction industry started when he was old enough to swing a hammer and climb a tree.  He built his first tree house at the age of nine and has been designing and building things with his hands ever since.

In the early 90’s, Scott studied architectural engineering and business at the University of Kansas.  His first job out of college, he worked for one of the nation’s largest insurance companies.  As a claims adjuster, he acquired extensive general knowledge of construction. Day in and day out, Scott handled fire, water, hail, and wind damage claims and worked with policy holders, learning more about houses and about customer service as well as the inner workings of the construction business.  He was promoted in 2004 to the Branch Claims Manager and provided oversight to claims in central Oklahoma.

In December of 2008, Homestead Construction was born.  Naming the company after the street he grew up on, Scott built the company from the ground up.   His strong customer service, attention to detail, exceptional workmanship and quality control has made Homestead Construction a huge success.  

When Scott isn’t working hard for you, he’s spending time with his own family. He spends almost all of his free time with his wife Kimi and their two children, who are his number one priority and his favorite pastime.  They are members of LifeChurch.tv and are very active in the community.
